He began his musical training in his hometown, A Estrada, with maestro Eulogio López Masid and later at the town's conservatory. He moved to continue his studies at the Higher Conservatory of Music of A Coruña where, as a student of maestro Narciso Pillo, he finished the Higher Degree in the Saxophone specialty with Honors. In 2006 he was awarded the 1st Prize for Musical Excellence of Galicia and the following year he recorded a disc with the pianist Gabriel López titled Variations Pathétiques.

As a saxophonist he collaborates with countless musical groups, among others the instrumental group Siglo XX, Zoar Ensemble, Banda Municipal de Ourense, Banda Municipal de A Coruña, Banda Municipal de Pontevedra, Orquestra Gaos, or the Orquestra Sinfónica de Galicia, of which he is a regular collaborator. He is a founding member of the Saxophone Duo Cimadevila – Mariño and the Skirion Quartet with which he recorded a disc titled Recitation Book in 2014 and has performed in various places throughout Spain and Europe.

As a teacher he has taught at various professional and higher schools and conservatories in Galicia.

From 2008 to 2011 he took the baton of the Barro Youth Music Band with which he performed various concerts and achieved, among others, the 1st Prize in the IV Galician Band Contest.

He is currently the director of the Santa Cruz de Ribadulla Music Band.
